Goodwill Success Story: Haley

Check out our final Goodwill® Success Story for this season, featuring Haley.

The final days of the Goodwill Sale are among us, and what a wonderful season it has been! Thank you to everyone who brought in their donations and shopped the sale with their coupons. Our final Goodwill® Success Story features a young woman, Haley. She lost her brother at a young age, and has had to deal with bipolar disorder on top of her tragic loss. Despite graduating high school and a CNA program, her disorder made it difficult for her to keep a job. This is where Goodwill came in!

I applied to Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois’ “Let’s Go To Work” program, a supportive work program that helps individuals with barriers gain valuable work experience and training. I worked in the back sorting and hanging clothes. I was very excited about this opportunity because I knew I would need to work in order to get better.

With the help of Goodwill’s “Let’s Go To Work” program and her job coach, Haley was able to work on her job skills and land a position as a cashier at her local Goodwill® branch. Way to go, Haley!

The Goodwill Sale is coming to an end! Be sure to bring in your gently used clothing, shoes, and home goods to your nearest Bon-Ton store in exchange for up to 30% off Goodwill Sale coupons! Your Goodwill Sale coupons can be used on brands that rarely go on sale, so it’s the perfect time to treat yourself to something new for your spring wardrobe. Your donations and purchases help the Goodwill® help people like Haley everyday. The sale ends 4/1.
