Goodwill Success Story: Bridget

Bridget refused to let her hearing difficulty stop her from success. Read her inspiring story!

Today, we bring you another inspiring Goodwill® Success Story. This time, we are sharing Bridget’s story. Bridget is a smart, young woman who earned an associate’s degree in business technology. She is deaf and communicates using sign language and English, as a second language. Bridget came to Goodwill’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services to strengthen her employment skills. Bridget grew her skills by taking a customer service and retail training course, where she received classroom instruction and internship experience at Walgreens. Following her internship, Walgreens hired Bridget to work part-time. Walgreens was so impressed with Bridget’s proactive work ethic; they increased her job responsibilities and gave her more work hours.

With Goodwill’s help, Bridget has greatly increased her self-confidence and continues to work toward her goal of becoming an administrative assistant professional. We know you can do it, Bridget!Goodwill Success Story Bridget
