Is anyone else beyond ready for spring? While I love dressing in fun layers, there’s something about spring fashion that is inspiring and refreshing. This spring, one of the trends I am most excited to rock is florals. From bold pops of blooms to flowy and feminine, spring florals are a reflection of rebirth and renewal. Here’s a look at one of my favorite spring florals: this delicious Karen Kane frock.
There aren’t many dresses that are more comfortable — yet innately chic —than a light and flowy jersey number. I love the subtle shape, punctuated by on-trend bell sleeves. Add the gentle floral print, and it’s a spring fashion home run. For chillier days, a sheer tight or fun contrast print, like fishnets, is a fun addition to the look. Or, try a suede moto jacket or soft trench for an added layer of posh warmth.
When a dress is the bold and beautiful, it’s key to find accessories that support but don’t compete with the print. These street chic heels by Michael Kors made my legs look a mile long (which I assure you, they are not!) and I adore the comfy platform and chunky heel. To play off the sandals’ gold zipper, I added a pair of gold drop earrings, a cute fringe pendant necklace and a pile of gold chain link Vince Camuto bracelets. A beige carryall satchel by Calvin Klein brings out the blush florals in the dress, and gives the look a polished finish.
Floral dresses are an easy transitional piece from work to play this spring. For work, add a light blazer; for play, a cute clutch. No matter how you style it, you can make spring florals all your own!
