There’s something about a light and flowy dress that reminder you that spring is almost here. Even on a chilly — or maybe even snowy! — day in March, looking ahead to the warmer months gives us all a jolt of happiness. That’s why I love to start adding spring items to my wardrobe as soon as they hit the shelves — even when it’s still cold outside. This Taylor Dresses frock is a fabulous transitional piece to welcome spring with an on-trend cold shoulder and fun floral print. It pairs easily with tights, and even looks great when topped off with a blazer. Let’s take a look at one of my favorite dresses for March and beyond.

The Dress

Taylor Dresses is such a fun brand. They do a great job of balancing trends with classic styles, and understand a woman’s body and what makes it look fabulous. The black and white floral dress is flowy enough to be wonderfully comfortable but doesn’t add a ton of volume, so you still have a shape. Plus, the fun black floral textured collar is unexpected. The cold shoulder design shows just enough skin to be sexy but is still appropriate for anything from work (with a blazer) to date night, a baby shower or a spring wedding. Want to add a street chic edge? Try pairing it with a moto jacket or oversized boyfriend denim jacket. So fun!

The Accessories

The great thing about this dress, with its neutral palette and tight floral print, is that there are myriad ways to style it. I chose these cool Michael Kors block-heel platform sandals to add a but of edge to the feminine nature of the dress. And for jewelry, I opted for a pile of gold bracelets and long, drop earrings. I am a huge fan of statement earrings with cold shoulder dresses, as they draw attention to your shoulders and neck. Other great styling options? Try belting with a fun studded belt to define your waist; trade the major earrings for a pile of chain necklaces to create a neck statement; go classic with peep-toe pumps, perhaps in a contrast color, like red; or add a petite crossbody handbag in a fun pop of color. The options are truly endless with this versatile stunner.

If you’re looking for a versatile season-transitional dress, this Taylor Dresses frock is a great option. A neutral color palette, a feminine print, an on-trend cold shoulder and a flowy yet flattering shape are all characteristics of a go-to dress for your early spring style. Which fun springtime dress will you add this season?
