While we often let our clothing be the star of our style show, sometimes the accessories steal the scene — especially when it comes to fun bracelet and watch stacking. That’s why I’m a huge fan of watch sets, like those by Anne Klein. Watch sets, which are an assortment of watches and matching bracelets packaged together in one charming set, make it easy to create cool arm candy in just one step. Here, I paired two of my favorite watch sets — one on each arm — with a mod embellished shift dress and my favorite over-the-knee boots. But it’s the cheery jingle-jangle of my watch stacks that make this outfit a wardrobe winner!
I love to fill my closet with shift dresses for two awesome reasons: they never go out of style and they look equally great on days when I feel slim and days when I feel a little puffy! Plus, they are an easy day-to-night transition dress style, making it easy to go from the office to date night. I dig this Karen Kane embellished black shift dress because of its comfy style and chic metallic neck and shoulder adornments. And the shorter three-quarter sleeve is the perfect length to show off my shiny watch and bracelet stack. I love the way the stack plays off the metallic dress applique, taking it from basic little black dress to a statement piece that commands attention.
The classic shape of this shift dress yearns for modern accessories to take it from ’60s mod to 2017 posh. Luckily, these on-trend OTK boots by Marc Fisher are a perfect match for this fun frock. Although I am a heel girl, I love to work in a flat now and then. I often reach for flat over-the-knee boots since the OTK style is sexy enough to dress up the flat nature of the boots. Plus, the back tie adds a bit of feminine interest. Next, I added a metallic Coach mini handbag to pop the dress’ eclectic embellishment. The mini bag is modern and unexpected — a combination I love when it comes to fashion!
But it’s the watch and bracelet stacks that truly define this look. I wore two stacks — but only one watch — to make sure both my wrists were ringing with bling. A combination of gold and rose gold metals adds dimension to the stacks. Want an even bigger statement? Add a few contrasting silver bracelets to add even more statement wrist appeal. Simple beaded hoop earrings by Relativity complete the look.
No matter how you stack it, your wrists will be the highlight of your look when you add a watch set to your favorite outfit. Isn’t it time you add a set or two to your accessory assortment?
