I’m Lisa: writer by day, maker by night and weekends.
Make what you ask? Just about anything – there isn’t a craft or a recipe I won’t try. I have a lifelong passion for creating. Growing up I was an art kid; in college I was a seamstress-for-hire; today I’m up to my elbows in embroidery floss. I love the DIY life, and I think handmade is best.
When I’m not crafting or sewing or cutting and pasting, you’ll find me roaming around junk shops looking for treasure. It’s about the hunt, it’s about the aesthetics, and it’s all about the history – I’m drawn to vintage vibes and the old stories that come along with them. You probably shouldn’t even get me started on all my awesome finds – we’ll be here all day.
I’ve also got a handful of cameras that I adore. Of course I’ve got a trusty DSLR and a few antique beauties, but the real gem in the bunch is my 1960s Minolta SRT 101. It’s a heavy, little beast, but gee whiz it works like a charm.
At the end of the day though, you’ll find me in my natural habitat: curled up with a cat and a good book.
