I’ve been a fashionista since I first spun around my living room modeling Wonder Woman underwear and a hot pink Miss Piggy t-shirt, proving that even at age 4, I was all about print mixing. My fashion-forward mom has always been my inspiration. She taught me from a young age that you should never let naysayers or your surroundings (small town USA, in my case) dictate your personal style.
After watching “Desperately Seeking Susan” several times and cutting up all of my mom’s pantyhose into hair accessories and wrist bands, I entrenched myself in the popular culture of the 80’s – something that you still see in my personal style today (stacks of gold bangles, lacy bras and boyfriend blazers are all staples in my closet!)
I’ve always had two creative passions in life: writing and fashion. Over time, I was lucky enough to combine both of them into one fabulous career as a fashion editor. Trips to New York Fashion Week were plentiful; and the after parties even more of a venerable fashion parade. Today, as an independent style expert, I am beyond blessed to work with both retailers and individuals to provide fashion guidance. I’m a featured fashion expert for TV, print and online media, a personal shopper, fashion event host and fashion writer/blogger. I am considered a pioneer of the growing fashion scene in Milwaukee, and coordinated the city’s inaugural Fashion’s Night Out.
