Introducing Ban.do

One of our newest brand launches, ban.do, has officially arrived in stores and online and we're pretty excited about it. Their line of cheeky graphic totes, brightly colored pencils, and adorable stationary scream "girl power" and actually have us looking forward to writing in a notebook. Funny what a motivational quote can do, right? After all, we need pencils and phone cases anyway, so we might as well inject a little color into necessity. Personally, I work better and am more motivated when I have cute accessories and stationary, and I know I'm not alone. When my planner has a fun design, I'm more likely to keep an organized calendar...which in turn leads to an organized life!

Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Teachers: the unsung heroes. Sometimes we can't help but be frustrated with them (who wouldn't be after receiving 60 math problems for homework?), but at the end of the day teachers are some of the most selfless, caring and passionate people on the planet. After all, they are dedicating their lives to furthering education. Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up - from May 1-5 - and it is the perfect time to show your teachers how much you care about them before school lets out for summer. And don't forget, our Friends & Family sale is on now! Be sure to save up to an extra 30% off on a teacher gift with coupon.

Meet the Maker: Shaun of Roadkiln

Welcome to the third installment of our Meet the Maker series, where we profile an all-star vendor from our Close to Home shop! This week is all about Shaun, from the Roadkiln/bfloGALS brand - she creates lovely bangles and bracelets bursting with pride for her hometown of Buffalo, New York. Shaun is unique in that she realized her artistic potential later in life, truly living out the quote "it's never too late to follow your dreams!", and is now a successful, full-time artist. Check out some of Shaun's work below and scroll down for a Q&A between us.

Goodwill Success Story: Haley

The final days of the Goodwill Sale are among us, and what a wonderful season it has been! Thank you to everyone who brought in their donations and shopped the sale with their coupons. Our final Goodwill® Success Story features a young woman, Haley. She lost her brother at a young age, and has had to deal with bipolar disorder on top of her tragic loss. Despite graduating high school and a CNA program, her disorder made it difficult for her to keep a job. This is where Goodwill came in!
